About Bangalore North University

Bangalore North University is a state government university that was established in 2017 by the Government of Karnataka. The university is also known as BNU Bangalore and has a total of 210 colleges affiliated to it. The university has been recognised by the University Grants Commission. Presently the university is functioning in a temporary campus at Karnataka State Open University, Tamaka. The permanent campus of BNU is planned to be constructed at Amaravathi village in Chickballapur district. The vision of Bangalore North University is to become a globally recognised university that is known for its research, quality education, development of human society and entrepreneurship. BNU courses list includes UG, PG and doctoral programmes in a number of specialisation including education, management and business administration, animation and design, humanities & social sciences, computer science and many more. Bangalore North University admission to the UG and PG courses except for MBA and MCA is based on the merit of the qualifying exam followed by participation in the counselling process that is conducted by BNU itself.

The university offers admission to UG, PG and doctoral programmes in various specialisations. BNU is a relatively young university, established in 2017. It is still in its development phase and doesn't have a long track record of performance. It is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with a C grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
